The 30-Second Answer

“The Unity Gala is an evening of culture, excellence and unity that brings our community together to celebrate Black achievement and help open Black History Month together in Unity. It combines a red-carpet experience, four-course dining, fashion, live entertainment, inspiring stories and the Melanium Awards in one memorable night.”

Core Message

  • Unity is the reason we gather. The Gala is about bringing people together across generations, organizations and communities.
  • We are opening Black History Month together in Unity. The January 30 date gives us an opportunity to begin the month with pride, purpose and community.
  • We celebrate excellence while building connection. Guests should leave entertained, inspired and more connected than when they arrived.
  • The Gala is more than dinner. It is designed as a full evening experience—from arrival and red carpet through dining, awards, fashion, entertainment and interactive moments.
  • Culture · Excellence · Unity is the spirit of the evening.
